Here are the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Geekbench scores – GSMArena.com news

Following the recent unveiling of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, tech enthusiasts are already looking past the marketing hype to see what the hardware can actually do. While Apple has touted the new A20 Pro chip as a massive leap forward, early data from Geekbench suggests those claims hold some weight. Two prototype devices, identified internally as the iPhone 19,2 and 19,3, have surfaced with impressive numbers that hint at a significant jump in raw processing power over last year’s models.

On average, the new handsets are posting single core scores around 4,665 and multi core scores near 12,248. When compared to the averages of the iPhone 17 Pro series, this represents a performance boost of roughly twenty one to twenty three percent across the board. This increase is particularly notable because the A20 Pro utilizes a cutting edge two nanometer process designed for greater power efficiency, all while pushing CPU frequencies up to 4.93GHz and utilizing twelve gigabytes of RAM.

However, the landscape remains competitive as rivals prepare their own responses. Early leaks suggest that MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 might actually outperform Apple in multi core tasks, though it trails significantly in single core speed. Meanwhile, reports regarding Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 remain murky and inconsistent, making it difficult to crown a definitive winner in the mobile processor war just yet.

Industry experts warn that these figures should be viewed with caution since they originate from pre production prototypes rather than final retail units. With iOS 27 set to launch on September 14 and competing chips arriving later this month, a clearer picture of where Apple stands against Android will emerge soon. For now, users can expect a substantial upgrade in speed and efficiency without needing to rely solely on promotional brochures.
