Get Access is building an exclusive club for startup investing

A new player is entering the high stakes world of venture capital with a mission to break down the walls surrounding late stage startup deals. Get Access has officially launched a platform designed to pool funds from wealthy tech insiders, granting them entry into funding rounds typically reserved for massive institutional firms and elite venture capitalists. By focusing on Series B rounds and beyond, the company allows individual investors to get skin in the game long after the initial seed stages, starting with heavy hitters like Crusoe’s recent three point nine billion dollar funding round.

The project is backed by some of the biggest names in technology and investment. Led by Guy Oseary of Sound Ventures, the startup recently secured five million dollars in funding at an eighty five million dollar post money valuation. The roster of early supporters includes Box CEO Aaron Levie and Lux Capital managing partner Josh Wolfe, among others. These figures aren’t just providing capital; they act as conduits for deal flow, ensuring that members have eyes on the most coveted private companies currently dominating headlines.

This move comes at a time when unicorns are staying private far longer than they used to, often reaching staggering valuations before ever hitting the public market. This trend has left many successful executives and accredited investors locked out of growth opportunities during a company’s most explosive phase. According to CEO Michael Goodbody, he founded Get Access after realizing that even well connected professionals struggled to navigate the opaque networks where these major deals happen behind closed doors.

To differentiate itself from existing platforms like AngelList, Get Access is positioning itself as an exclusive club rather than a mere marketplace. Membership isn’t just about having deep pockets; applicants must prove they bring strategic value to the table through operational expertise or industry clout that can help a portfolio company scale. While members avoid traditional management fees, the platform generates revenue through memberships and takes ten percent of any realized profits. Early demand suggests there is a hungry market for this approach, with the company reporting one million dollars in revenue within just five days of its private launch.
